Elon Musk bu hafta Twitter’ın adını X olarak değiştirdi. Bu, Musk’ın Çin’deki mega uygulama WeChat’i taklit etme girişiminin en yeni adımı oldu.

SOSYAL MEDYA ÜZERİNDE E-TİCARET
Musk geçen yıl 44 milyar dolara aldığı şirketi çok daha büyük bir platforma dönüştürmek istediğini daha önce de söylemişti. Sohbet, çöpçatanlık, ödeme, sosyal medya ve taksi çağırma gibi hizmetleri tek bir uygulama içinde sunması nedeniyle “her şeyin uygulaması” olarak anılan WeChat’i öven Musk, “Twitter’ı ona yakın bir hale getirebilmek bile inanılmaz büyük bir başarı olur” demişti.

BU UYGULAMA ÇİN’DE VAR
Teknoloji devi TenCent tarafından 2011’de piyasaya sürülen WeChat, 1,4 milyar nüfuslu Çin’de neredeyse herkes tarafından kullanılıyor. Uygulamanın içinde mesajlaşma, sesli ve videolu görüşme, sosyal paylaşım yapma, yemek siparişi verme, oyun oynama ve hatta çöpçatanlık hizmetleri yer alıyor. Yani WhatsApp, Facebook, Apple Pay, Uber, Amazon, Tinder ve çok daha fazla uygulamanın bir araya gelmiş hali gibi.
